"oh..wow."
ZIKES. What a weekend. I'll tell you the most exciting thing first. On friday, Luke came over and our biggest dilemma is always "what do you want to do?" BUT Luke had an idea, to go to "what's in the van, man?" which is a radio game through Sonic 102.9. I thought it sounded fun so we went. We got our tickets (after they asked if we were over 18. bastards.) and then we just sat around as the "trades-esque" crown piled in. Well, when they were about to call the number :
Michelle: Well Luke, think you're gonna win?
Luke: No. Do you think you're gonna win?
Michelle: No.

And then the guy started reading the drawn number, and it was mine. And luke said "that's you." So I went down and had to choose between the envelope which may or may not contain some heavy cash or the van which may contain a good or bad prize. I chose the van. PHEWF. I won two mountain bikes and a trip to jasper. You can watch it go down here:

I am like a celebrity. I was feeling so lucky I told Luke "let's go to the casino." In the end we opted for Extreme Pita and mother's day shopping. ah well. It's super fun winning stuff. You should try it. One time I won a book in the Barrhead Elementary book contest. I also won a really ugly stuffed rabbit from the Prairie Chef in Barrhead. So far, I like the bikes best.

Then yesterday I biked (not on my new bike, I don't have that yet.) to Hawrelak park. It only took 20 minutes and that was dodging people and dogs. OH and I saw a couple get engaged.. in the "off leash" part of the park... ? Then we had family come over for Mother's Day. It was awkward and annoying. But the Japanese Salad was great. Thanks Mom!!

when i was in the dominican republic three years ago, a guy met my sisters first (who he thought were in their mid-20s - they were only 18 and 15) and then he met me. he said, "oh, you're their sister? how old are you, like, 12?" no, sir. 20. this year at the museum one of the girls thought i was 19. so that's a pretty good improvement. aging 7 years in only 3.

my parents have won bikes in that one house lottery in TWO separate years. but they both got stolen a few years ago. boo.
